FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the method of manufacture of friction pads of annular shape equipped with openings that rotate in operation and are intended for use in different friction mechanisms (braking unit of machines and equipment, friction clutches, etc.). Method consists in coiling of workpiece from threads coated with polymer materials, formation of item from workpiece and mechanical treatment of item. In the process of formation in item deepenings are made that match with openings, and on the surface that is opposite to deepenings single protrusion is arranged, which is installed in the area of deepenings and has annular shape. At that, distances from the bottom of every deepening to the surface of annular protrusion, opposite to the surface with deepenings, is equal or less than thickness of layer that is removed during mechanical processing from the surface that is opposite to the surface with deepenings.
EFFECT: reduction of possibility of pads deformation by reduction of stress occurrence in item and modification of reinforcement structure without significant growth of wastes during mechanical processing.
