FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: device for cutting expansion joint incorporates light-weight cutting knife 1, damping knife 2 with an elastic element representing sheet rubber 3 corresponding to the cutting knife thickness, load plate 4 with the chamfer-forming elements, the aforesaid elements making an integral design component with a funnel-type truncated-pyramid-shaped tank 5 to house the graved 6 of 6-10 mm grain size. Front light-weight cutting knife 1 is furnished with a skew cutting edge and a hole closed up on both sides by a thin sheet. Note that weld seam of the sheets in pos. 7 should, further on, be made equal to the knife thickness. The cable drum in casing 8 representing the highest point of the device is connected to the power drive via logging cable 9. the said cable is permanently tensioned by means of a hydraulic coupling and allows the device to move in the working zone to wind up and off the cable in the drum.
EFFECT: higher-quality expansion joint, higher efficiency and greater vibration amplitude.
