FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: copies of filter drivers for each drive are registered by filter administrator for preliminary callbacks (for input/output to file system) and final callbacks (for input/output from the file system). Then they identify, for which input/output requests (for instance, creation, reading, writing) they are registered to receive callbacks. The filter administrator sets the filter copies for callbacks. When receiving an input/output request, the filter administrator converts the request into callback data, then calls the filters in question in the set callback order. This assists in processing input/output data by filter copies. After the request is received back from the file system, the filters, which are required for final callback, are called in reverse order.

EFFECT: system effectiveness boost and optimization of system resource usage.
