FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: lead-acid storage battery comprises, at least, one negative lead-based electrode, at least, one lead dioxide-base positive electrode, one capacitor electrode and an electrolyte in contact with the electrodes. One part of the storage battery is formed by the lead-based negative electrode and the lied dioxide-based positive electrode, while the other part representing an asymmetric capacitor is formed by the capacitor electrode and one, either lead-based negative electrode or lead dioxide-based positive electrode. Note here that all negative electrodes are connected to the negative bus and all positive electrodes are connected to the positive bus.

EFFECT: longer life and improved performances.
