FIELD: transport; electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of current in return conductor, which creates secondary compensating electromagnetic field, which is in phase opposition with the electromagnetic field of the traction current of the contact system. The process of compensating the induction effect of harmonic components of the traction current takes place in successive order, in two stages. First, there is compensation of the effect of harmonic components, which do not render interference, to levels which are safe for further compensation. Then later, there is compensation of the induction effect of harmonic components with the biggest psophometric effect. The compensation process of the latter is carried out after meeting the condition of conformity of the values of harmonics, which remain in the channel of the compensating effect after the first stage of the compensation process, with minimum permissible values, under the condition providing for safe implementation of the method.

EFFECT: reduced effects of electrified railway lines on adjacent communication lines.
