METHOD OF PROTECTION OF SANDY BEACHES FROM ENTRAINMENT AND DEVICE FOR ITS REALISATION Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC E02B3/06 

FIELD: building, hydraulic engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns area of hydraulic engineering construction and protection of sandy beaches against entrainment by breaking waves. An obstacle in the form of closed cover, filled up with liquid and air place in an operative range of running wave. Energy of the waves affecting the cover is used for ground compaction works. The cover is made flat. The bottom track bed of the cover is fixed motionlessly on a protected lot, and the energy of waves is used for moving of water and air inside the cover, making ground compaction works. The bottom and top parts of the cover are supplied by loading elements. The width of the bottom track bed of the cover is equal to width of the protected lot, and the width of the top track bed of the cover exceeds width of the bottom track bed on size πh/2, where π=3.14, h-height of a subfloor of the wave at extreme fall of the waves. The cover is executed from a material with a double sided rough surface which extinguishes wave energy at water movement inside and outside of the cover.

EFFECT: increase of beach protection efficiency.
