FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: device comprises a barrier of meshed structure on a discharge slope 8 of a sand beach and fastening elements. The meshed structure is made of a meshed cloth 2 with negative floatability. At the same time a solid strip 6 from a water-impermeable material with positive floatability is attached to the meshed cloth 2 at the side of an incoming wave 13. The solid strip 6 is equipped with a water-retaining element 7, which is arranged at the edge of the strip 6. Fastening elements 1 and 5 are connected with the barrier of meshed structure by flexible joints 3 and 10. At the same time the barrier width a is determined using the formula a=2h/sinα, where h - wave setup height to the discharge slope of the beach, α - angle of inclination of the discharge slope of the beach, besides, the width of the strip b, the height of the water-retaining element H and the length of flexible joints are selected with account of the following relations b=0.3a, H=b-sinα, l=0.5b, where a - barrier width, α - angle of inclination of the beach discharge slope.
EFFECT: device makes it possible to increase efficiency of protection of sand beaches from erosion.
