FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for reduction of degree of ground water pollution in case of atmospheric precipitation infiltration through the width of household, industrial and agricultural wastes in places of their storage. Invention can be used in household and public services, in various branches of industry and agriculture. Method of ground water protection includes erection of contour anti-filtration screen in combination with surface drainage devices in form of contour and behind-contour ditches, accumulation reservoir equipment and removal of water from reservoir. Contour ditch is made with sills and is equipped with flumes with perforated bottom, contour anti-filtration screen being placed for period of precipitation by putting into flumes salts, containing univalent potassium or sodium cations. Removal of water from reservoir is stopped when maximally permissible concentration of pollutants in water is reached.

EFFECT: reduction of labour input in construction of anti-filtration screens without reducing their efficiency of protection ground water against pollution in places of solid household and industrial wastes storage.
