VORTEX HEAT EXCHANGER Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC F28C3/00

Abstract RU 2338987 C1

FIELD: mechanics, heating.

SUBSTANCE: invention proposes using low-potential heat for heating various-purpose premises, e.g. warm water produced in operation of nuclear power station, geothermal water and that from other sources, that features the temperature of 50 to 70 degrees Centigrade. The proposed vortex heat exchanger is made up of a scroll swirling manifold with a guide vane and hyperbolic-form face walls features, the aforesaid walls being furnished with micro-channels arranged on their inner surfaces and provided with exhaust branch pipes. Note that the face wall outer surfaces are also furnished with the like micro-channels. The aforesaid heat exchanger is arranged inside the premises to be heated. Warmed water is fed into the heat exchanger inner space to warm the air inside premises by the face wall outer surfaces. The aforesaid micro-channels arranged on both inner and outer surfaces of the said face walls provide for a high heat exchange factor.

EFFECT: efficient application of low-potential heat.
