FIELD: physics, electrics.
SUBSTANCE: electro-hydraulic emitter includes case of non-magnetic dielectric material and spark gap which can be connected to current source. Spark gap is positioned inside cavity of acoustic resonator made in the form of tubular indent in the case. A couple of coaxial spark gap electrodes is placed in the plane perpendicular to lengthwise indent axis, at a distance from indent bottom, equal to half of sound travel distance in water during the time period equal to first semiperiod duration of electric discharge impulse. Electrodes are positioned between dissimilar poles of constant electric magnets. Magnetic power lines are perpendicular to vertical plane passing over lengthwise electrode axis.
EFFECT: reduced cost, simplified construction and maintenance.
