FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: artificial eye lens (AEL) consists of haptic and optic parts, including spherical surface. Optic part consists of a single component, front surface of which has two surfaces. First surface is made as a segment of concave spherical surface, with concavity inverted towards cornea of the eye. Symmetry axis of the spherical surface coincides with the principle symmetry axis of the artificial lens. Second surface is made as an ellipsoidal segment of convex ellipsoidal surface, with convexity inverted towards the cornea. Straight line-marking elements are performed on the haptic part, direction of which coincides with the direction of the big axis of elliptic segment. Back parts of optic and haptic parts are flat.
EFFECT: ensures correction of presbyopy in combination with complex hypermetropic astigmatism and enhances potency of AEL.
