FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocket-propelled vehicles, particularly, to solid-propellant rocket engines. The solid-propellant rocket engine comprises a combustion chamber, a heat insulated nozzle bottom and a solid-propellant charge partially cladded in over the outer surface. A heat-insulating screen is arranged on the nozzle bottom at the point the bottom abuts on the combustion chamber, opposite the charge uncladded part, to form a stagnant zone. The aforesaid screen represents a separate part or is made integral with the nozzle bottom. The invention notably reduces the combustion chamber wall and joint assembly.
EFFECT: higher reliability of solid-propellant rocket engine and total momentum of thrust.
