FIELD: physics; explosive works.
SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring a signal on a catalytically active detecting element of a gas-analyser, incorporated in a bridge measuring circuit, and subsequent determination of the value of concentration of explosive gases from the value of the output voltage signal. After each application of supply voltage onto the sensor, providing for heating the detecting element to the temperature sufficient for thermo-catalytic oxidation of the explosive gas, the sensitivity of the thermo-catalytic element is restored by further heating it to temperature at which there is sublimation of the products of burning at the active surface of the detecting element, by increasing the supply voltage. A strobe pulse is introduced, enabling the device to read the value of the output voltage of the measuring bridge in the moment of measuring concentration of explosive gases and leave out the output voltage of the measuring bridge, arising during further heating.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of measuring concentration of gas and longer life service of thermo-catalytic sensors.
