SUBSTANCE: external server receives a user-written message from the first interactive disc player and stores the message in internal memory. When a request is sent from the second interactive disc player, the external server compares the playback time in the request message, with the playback time in the stored user-written message, and sends the stored message to the second player, if the two indicated playback times are almost equal.
EFFECT: method enables users of individual players to exchange information about the same partition of a universal digital disc, independent of their individual playback position.
