FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. During hydrochemical processing of aluminosilicate raw material, method includes performing autoclave leaching of red mud in Bayer process branch in high-modulus aluminate solution in presence of lime-containing additive. Hydrogarnate mud is separated from medium-modulus solution. Calcium hydroxide is recycled in medium-modulus aluminate solution to extract sediment of tricalcium hydroaluminate and producing high-modulus solution. High modulus solution is evaporated and returned to preparation of suspensions of red mud and lime-containing additive. Calcium hydroxide is recovered from tricalcium hydroaluminate and returned to processing medium-modulus aluminate solution. Obtaining alkali-aluminate solution with caustic ratio Na2O/Al2O3, equal to 3.15-3.25 at autoclave leaching of tricalcium hydroaluminate in soda-alkaline solution. During carbonisation of mixture 15-20 % flow of medium-modulus solution and equivalent part of flow of utilised alkali-aluminate solution is obtained Al(OH)3.
EFFECT: invention allows to fully recycle red slurry, selected from a stream of alumina production or slime storages alumina plants, to produce a new commercial products-aluminium hydroxide, alkali-aluminate solution and/or soda ash, and iron-calcium concentrate and environmental protection of environment.
