FIELD: heating, drying.
SUBSTANCE: method relates to drying period rating for products containing free or bound moisture and may be used in food, chemical and other industries. Method of drying period rating for products containing free or bound moisture when drying mode is changed provides for the initial selection of trial product batch and drying in the drying plant at one of the possible drying modes. Based on the above, the period of steady speed is approximately defined and drying curve is plotted. Based of this curve, equivalent moisture content corresponding to the amount of moisture removed during drying is determined. After that, the next batch of product is dried at drying mode, which differs from the trial batch drying mode. Based on three or four measurements of product moisture content at the initial stage of drying, maximum drying speed corresponding to steady speed period is defined during the second batch drying by the least square method. Duration of convective drying is determined from estimated dependency.
EFFECT: reduction of moisture content analyses number during drying process and increase of product drying period rating accuracy.
