FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: method includes estimation of setting scale deviation rate from parallel line by the difference of two line position measurements regarding to roller necks. Measuring device rests upon two points - roller neck and setting scale. Initial and horizontal position is adjusted by the first neck of roller by means of adjustment screw resting upon setting scale. Setting scale deviation from parallel line is calculated when device is repositioned on the second roller neck based on block level and not changing adjustment screw position. Scale deviation from parallel line is estimated by the average result from two measurements taken in initial roller position and with turning by 180°. To compare measured deviation with the assumed value, measured deviation is recalculated in proportion to the ratio of setting scale altitude above sea level and distance between rollers.
EFFECT: simple and fast measuring, simple design of measuring device.
