FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: gear-box contains casing with countershaft, drive shaft and driven shaft parallel to each other inside. Drive shaft transmits torque to driven shaft by tooth action of the drive shaft of some gear on corresponding gear of the driven shaft. Driven shaft is connected with automobile cardan shaft. Gear-box differs in that the driven shaft is separated in sectors with number corresponding to number of gears. Each sector of driven shaft is limited from both ends by cylindrical disk rigidly fixed on shaft and divided into threaded and smooth zones. Gear of each sector of driven shaft is engaged with corresponding gear of drive shaft by fork. Fork secures only simultaneous shift of gears of drive shaft and driven shaft of single gear along longitudinal axis of both shafts. Each gear of driven shaft has a threaded orifice in its centre inside which a segment of drive shaft is located.
EFFECT: simplification of automobile driving process and optimisation of automobile engine performance.
