FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: ozone generator electrodes are disconnected from source of power supply, at that underpressure is preliminarily created in additional volume of protective tank, oxygen supply to ozone generator as well as discharge of ozone-oxygen mixture from it are stopped. Pressure of ozone-oxygen mixture is reduced down to the value, at which burning of materials used in design of ozone generator is avoided, by means of connection of closed volume of ozone generator with additional volume of protective tank. At the same time ozone generator and protective tank are filled with substituting gas, by means of their connection to the source of substituting gas, then gas pressure is increased in the volume of ozone generator and additional volume of protective tank up to the atmospheric one. At that time for gas pressure reduction is 2-3 times less than time of gas pressure increase, after that additional volume of protective tank is disconnected from volume of ozone generator.

EFFECT: reduction of pressure and concentration of oxygen in ozone generator down to the value, at which burning of materials used in design of ozone generator is avoided.
