FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to analytical chemistry, namely to formic acid evaluation procedures. Concentration of formic acid is evaluated by optical density of analysed alkaline solution sample at 236 nm preliminary added with mercury acetate (II).
EFFECT: higher sensitivity and accuracy of evaluation procedure.
