FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to creation of subsurface images. Device for investigation of borehole wall, filled with nonconductive drilling agent, contains support plate that has internal surface and external surface for pressing to wall of borehole. Set of measuring electrodes, supply electrode and return electrode are installed on external surface of support plate. Set of measuring electrodes is installed between supply electrode and return electrode and contains two horizontal rows of electrodes. Two mentioned rows of electrodes are displaced horizontally in relation to each other so that differences of potentials measured between mentioned measuring electrodes represent both vertical and horizontal components of complete electric field in subsurface in every point of measurement.
EFFECT: efficient creation of subsurface images.
