FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to the field of high-voltage engineering in particular to heavy current switches equipment in electric power distribution systems. Method for exhaust gas cooling in electric switch, in particular in generating-station circuit breaker (1), which includes chamber which is surrounded by switch chamber casing. Injector element (10) creates gas jets (12) in exhaust area (7), directs them to reflecting wall (14, 140) and transform them into swirls. Reflecting wall (14, 140) is component of switch chamber casing (3) and has high thermal capacity and/or high thermal conductivity. Switch has the first and the second contact. In exhaust area of the first and the second contact there is element (10) with outlets (11) for exhaust gas discharge. These outlets represents injectors. Interior space (7a) contains at least one more element with additional outlets for creation of additional gas jets. Switch chamber casing (3) represents sealed shell for exhaust gas.
EFFECT: achievement of highly efficient cooling of exhaust gas in swirls (13) of exhaust gas near reflecting wall (14, 140), providing protection of switch chamber casing (13) against hot gases; improvement of exhaust gas cooling and enhancement of switching ability.
