SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to systems of controlling a beam of phased antenna arrays and can be used in making a phased antenna array with a wireless open optical command system for lobbing and beam control, as well as a highly efficient phased antenna array in parts of the beam control system. The complex comprises a control digital computer system with a serial control interface, which has optical transceivers for setting up two-way open optical communication with control devices of the transmitting-receiving channels of the phased antenna array, also fitted with transceivers. The proposed wireless optical system for controlling the beam of a phased antenna array can be used for any type of antenna array - passive/active, for any single-channel/multiple-channels of transmit-receive modules of active phased antenna arrays and can also be used in rotating switches with a rotating antenna panel, for example.
EFFECT: increased efficiency with simplification of the device at the same time.
