FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is method of obtaining zeolite-containing catalyst for processing low-octane benzene fractions based on ZSM-5, in which to natural zeolite clinoptilolite-heulandite, double-processed with NH4Cl water solution, 2.5-10 wt % of highly siliceous zeolite ZSM-5 with molar ratio SiO2/Al2O3=60 and content of Na2O not more than 0.02 wt % is added, and additionally 0.5 wt % of ultra-dispersive zinc powder is added. Also described is method of processing low-octane benzene fractions in presence of obtained zeolite-containing catalyst, process being carried out by passing raw material vapours through stationary catalyst layer at temperature 300-400°C, atmospheric pressure, volumetric rate of raw material supply 2 hour-1.
EFFECT: increase of iso-structure alkanes content in obtained marketable benzenes and reduction of aromatic hydrocarbons content.
