FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: 3-chlorsulphonylbenzamides are used as intermediate product in manufacturing dyes, polymeric materials, paint-forming components in film photography, food additives, sugar substitutes, biologically active and medicinal substances of broad spectrum. Described is method of obtaining 3-chlorsulphonylbenzamides by interaction of benzoic acid or its substituted with threefold excess of chlorsulphonic acid at 100-150°C during 1.0-2.5 hours with further amidating of reaction product with reagent selected from group including sulphamic acid, its N-alkylsubstituted, urea, at 80-100°C during 1.0-1.5 hours.
EFFECT: simplification of technology of obtaining 3-chlorsulphonylbenzamides with aliphatic amine fragments and different substituents in aromatic ring.
