WAY OF TRANSFER AND RECEPTION OF CODED VOICE SIGNALS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G10L19/00

Abstract RU 2343563 C1

FIELD: physics, communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to conversion and transfer of voice signals and can be used for transfer of coded speech over voice-frequency channels. For this, relative quantity of transmitted amplitudes and phases is redistributed so as to reduce an amplitude share and allow reducing the quantity of transmitted signals and, at a time, maintaining a qualitative restoration of speech. Note also that excessive noise-immune encoding of confidential amplitudes is spaced over various harmonics in transmission and aforesaid amplitudes are noise-immune decoded in reception to increase the level of transmitted signals and to reduce duplication of errors in sequences of amplitudes. On the transmitting side, the voice signal is, first, subjected to quadrature modulation and, prior to its encoding, it is subjected to uniform decimation over, at least, two voice-signal amplitude count-downs. Now, a reference amplitude of the magnitude subject to encoding is added to every encoded amplitude, both amplitude magnitudes being transmitted into the channel by two harmonics as a part of total signal shaped allowing for all amplitudes and encoded phases. On the reception side, the levels of every pair of received harmonics are corrected by comparing the sum of encoded and reference amplitudes with the fixed-threshold. Also, harmonic amplitudes are normalised and target amplitude corrected magnitude is computed. After decoding amplitudes and phases and prior to forming low-frequency quadrature components and to voice-signal time representation, decoded amplitudes are computed by interpolation between adjacent count-downs and computed count-downs are between aforesaid amplitudes.

EFFECT: higher noise immunity of transmission and quality of voice signals without expansion of channel signal range.
