FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to tube welding, particularly to welding tubes of bigger diameter out of tube stocks of finite length. The mill incorporates incoming roller beds assembled in the process sequence, an assembling device, a chain pusher with a movable stop, a welding facility and an outgoing roller bed. A transport roller bed is arranged parallel to the axis of the mill; also the transport roller bed is connected with incoming and outgoing roller beds by means of transfer cars designed to travel perpendicular to the axis of the mill. The mill is equipped with a transfer facility of gantry type with a device for gripping, lifting and transfer of a tube stock; the said device connects the transport roller bed with the chain pusher. A lowerable support with a rotating knife is installed behind the chain pusher. The movable stop of the chain pusher is designed both for pair assembly and for pushing tube stocks of double-seam and single seam welded tubes.
EFFECT: upgraded quality of assembly and welding both double-seam and single seam tubes of bigger diameter from tube stocks.
