FIELD: physics, clocks.
SUBSTANCE: in compliance with the invention in producing dial of the desktop, floor or wall-hung point-type clocks, its base is formed by the clock casing furnished with holders for tools, i.e. drills representing rods or tubes with end face cutting edges. Labels are formed by said drills fitted in their holders. Heads of aforesaid labels are formed by aforesaid end face cutting edges. In compliance with the second version of this invention, the aforesaid foundation is formed by a casing with holders for tools, i.e. drills representing rods or tubes with end face cutting edges. Every separate drill is fitted in the holder fitted at the point corresponding to a certain day time numerical number complying with the diameter of the aforesaid rod or tube. In compliance with the proposed method a drill head and shank are produced that, when jointed together, form the aforesaid drill representing a rod or tube with end face cutting edges, the label being formed by the aforementioned cutting edge.
