FIELD: sports.
SUBSTANCE: snowboard comprises two sliding skids installed parallel to each other and connected to each other by mechanical units that provide parallel position of skids relative to each other and in plane of platform for shoes fixing, both in straight position of snowboard and during its tilting. Platform for fixing of shoes is separated into transverse plane into two platforms for every shoe each, which are equipped with at least two mechanical units arranged in the form of knee-shaped levers, knees of which are connected by cylindrical hinged joints with platforms, transverse size of which exceeds center-to-center distance between these two hinges. Ends of each lever are connected in pairs by cylindrical hinges with similar edges of different skids, at that axes of paired hinges are parallel to each other.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of snowboard control and better maneuverability in descent from steep slopes on stiff skiing tracks.
