FIELD: physics, acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sound coder/decoder and sound coding, which provides for acoustic signals coding with short delay time. Sequence of sound values of acoustic signal is coded as follows: the first listening threshold is determined for the first set of sound values of the sequence and the second listening threshold is determined for the second set of sound values of the sequence; version of the first parametrisation of parametrised filter is calculated so as to obtain transfer function approximately corresponding to inverted modulus of the first listening threshold and version of the second parametrisation of parametrised filter is calculated so as to obtain transfer function approximately corresponding to inverted modulus of the second listening threshold. Pre-defined set of sound values of the sequence is filtered by means of parametrised filter using pre-defined parametrisation (the latter specifically depends on the second parametrisation version) so as to obtain a set of filtered sound values, corresponding to the pre-defined set. Filtered sound values are quantised to obtain a set of quantised filtered sound values. The first parametrisation version and the second parametrisation version are combined to obtain a result, which at least comprises the difference between the first parametrisation version and the second parametrisation version. Then data is integrated to provide for possibility of further derivation of filtered quantised sound values and first parametrisation version; also providing for incorporation of the combination into code signal.
