FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of electrical engineering, immediately dealing with design specificity of alternating voltage generators and permanent-magnet motors (including controlled ones). Conceptually the invention consists in alternating voltage generator or motor (10) being designed as equipped with a rotor (12), a stator (20) and at least one winding (22) wrapped round the stator (20) and designed for passage of current. In addition to that the device has two magnetic circuits (the first one and the second one) one of them including a saturable path with saturation controllable to provide for control of the whole of the electric machine.
EFFECT: improved controllability of electrical machinery in general and electrical machines equipped with permanent magnets - in particular.
