FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the sphere of electrical engineering and is highly relevant for design of power supply devices for discharge-impulse electrotechnological installations. Constant frequency stabilisation of voltage in a non-linear resonance circuit implemented within the parametric transformer secondary circuit with the circuit Q-factor QH=(ω0CR>2/m where ω0 =1/(L20C) is the resonance circuit frequency; L20, - the average paratrans output winding inductance; R - the discharge chamber resistance, m=0..1 - the paratrans inductance modulation depth factor. The proposed device for voltage stabilisation and discharge-impulse installation protection comprises a rectifier, a filter, a voltage inverter, a transformer and a discharge chamber. The inverter is of the resonance type with back-to-back diodes. The transformer is of the parametric type consisting of two butted orthogonal magnetic conductors with 2-6% of the winding wrapped around the butt joint enclosing the both magnetic conductors.
EFFECT: electrotechnological process enhancement in terms of quality and performance characteristics due to stabilisation of constant frequency supply voltage and improved operational reliability of the discharge-impulse installation due to efficient protection against overvoltage and short-circuiting.
