FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to mining and can be used during underground mining of heavy steep-grade ore bodies with weak ore material or with a dense network of cracks and weak seams. The method of excavating ore deposits involves drilling preparatory - breakoffs, block undercutting, weakening of the joint between the excavated mass and the surrounding mass, cave in of the excavated mass with periodical triggering and discharge of the formed rock mass. Triggering of the excavated mass is done by cut-out raises of the block on its height. Ore is discharged in parts, equal to the volume of natural equilibrium dome. The cut-out raises are put onto the block at a distance from each other, equal to the diameter of the ellipsoid of the discharged ore.
EFFECT: increases the efficiency of the process of caving in, cuts expenses on secondary crushing, reduces ore loss during discharge.
