SUBSTANCE: method includes driving of development and subordinate development workings, breakage of main are mass by hole blasting, forced caving of upper part of blind are mass with outlining of pressure arch, formation inside arch of large-block structure for self-caving and subsequent drawing of caved ore. Forced caving of upper part of blind are mass is effected by charges of clusters of vertical holes of various length. In this case, number of holes in clusters in upper part of blind ore mass is selected minimal, and in main part of ore mass is selected as maximum. Blasting of hole charges for caving upper part are of ore mass is accomplished after blasting of charge clusters in main part of ore mass by method of short-delayed blasting with subsequent self-caving of ore mass upper part and formation of pressure arch. Number of holes in clusters of upper and main parts of ore mass is determined by calculation. Single technical result of said technical solution is reduced cost of operations and higher efficiency of breakage of upper part of blind ore mass due to determination of optimal number and length of holes depending on degree of disturbance, fracturing and strength of blind are mass liable to self-caving.
