FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacture of augers includes installation of additional tube and helical spiral on shaft-tube with clutches that are rigidly connected to the ends of shaft-tube. Helical spring is installed on shaft tube and stretched to required size. Then shaft-tube is twisted in direction that is opposite to winding of helical spring within the limits of elastic deformation of material twisting. Afterwards additional tube is inserted into shaft-tube, and it is twisted in similar manner, but in direction of helical spiral winding, and its ends are rigidly fixed to clutches. Then helical spring is welded to prestressed structure of shaft-tube.
EFFECT: simplification of auger manufacturing technology and prolonged durability of drilling augers in process of operation.
