FIELD: chemistry; water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to purification of waste water from mechanical impurities and oil products, and can be used in railway transport after washing mechanical components of wagons. The device has a tank, divided by partition walls into three chamber sections. In one section there is primary treatment of waste water, flowing from a hose through a filter-mouth piece to horizontal mud settlers, in which mechanical impurities are separated through gravitational settling. The settlers are fitted one under the other and have slanting plates, spaced out by a well-defined distance. In the other section, there is floatation cleaning using a floater, which is in form of porous material, through which compressed air is passed. Bubbles are formed, to which dirt particles adhere. The air stream carries dirt to the water surface, forming thick foam. At this level, there is a scraper mechanism, collecting this foam into the mud partition. In the third section there is final purification of water using a block of mesh filters. In each section there is a maximum level sensor. In the final water purification section, there is another maximum level sensor. The device operates in automatic and (or) manual mode and is operated using a command console.
EFFECT: increased quality and cost effectiveness of purifying waste water.
