FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to drilling equipment and can be used for directional and horizontal drilling as well as in pre-drilling construction. The mechanism includes a control unit; a drilling mast with a drilling jumbo installed in such a way that it can be moved by means of a raising and lowering device; a hoist with a raising and lowering device and a hoist mast for cargo handling; and a drive with a motor located on top of the drilling mast. The lower end of the hoist mast is attached to the top of the drilling mast. The drive is made so as to transmit motion alternately to the raising and lowering device of the jumbo and that of the hoist and contains a worm gear and a spline shaft with a worm pinion rigidly mounted thereon and engaged with the motor-driven worm shaft. The spline shaft is made so that it can move in a reciprocating manner and interact alternately with the sprocket on the raising and lowering device of the jumbo and the electromagnetic clutch on raising and lowering device of the hoist.

EFFECT: decreased weight and dimensions of the mechanism.
