FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is applicable to the oil and gas industry and particularly pertains to methods of developing heterogeneous reservoirs in oil fields. The oil field development method that includes injection of biopolymer gelling composition through an injection well and oil production through a production well uses xanthan biopolymer type "БЖК", colloidal sodium silicate Sialit 30-40 or Sialit 30-50, or hydrated sodium silicate Sialit 60-3 at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:1.5 as biopolymer gelling composition injected between fresh water fringes in a total volume of 0.3 of the reservoir void space.
EFFECT: increased oil field development efficiency as a result of increasing the permeability reduction factor of water flushed reservoir sections, increasing filtration resistance for displacing water, increasing oil displacement from low permeability reservoir zones, and increasing sweeping efficiency.
