FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is applicable to the oil and gas industry and particularly pertains to methods of controlling oil and gas well development and enhanced productivity processes using geophysical methods. The acid formation treatment control method includes downhole geophysical survey by using an impulse neutron-neutron logging (INNL) technique and thermal neutron density/time distribution analysis. A thermal neutron attenuation decrement is to be determined before and after hydrochloric acid treatment (HAT) in time gates corresponding to two time delays within the near and far regions of thermal neutron time decay to exclude mutual interaction. It is then required to assess the penetration of hydrochloric acid into the perforation interval or its movement through cross-flows in cement stone and penetration into other formations by analysing the increasing neutron attenuation decrement in the time gates after the HAT.
EFFECT: improved reliability of formation treatment control.
