FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: rotor of the proposed machine comprises a hollow shaft resting, on both end face sides, upon two axially opposite rotor sections. Axially, the aforesaid shaft represents several rings adjoining each other and the rotor sections to confine the shaft cavity from outside. Each aforesaid ring cross section features a double - T-section. The double T-section cross piece, aligned radially with the rotor, has its ends accommodating axially set flanges so that an additional hollow space is formed between two adjacent rings and their radially-set inner and outer flanges. The rotor comprises, at least, one tie passing parallel to the axis of rotation. Note that the compressor and turbine disks form the rotor sections. Mind that the aforesaid tie passes through both of them. The invention proposes also the machine converting the flow kinetic power into mechanical power incorporating the rotor of the above-described design.
EFFECT: lower mechanical loads acting on the rotor, longer service life.
