HIGH-TORQUE DIFFERENTIAL HYDROMECHANICAL VARIATOR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F16H47/04

Abstract RU 2347966 C1

FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering and can be used in stepless tooth gearings. The proposed variator consists of two consecutively linked differential stages. The said first stage represents a mechanical differential mechanism. The second differential stage is a hydrodynamical differential converter incorporating two planetary rows, one of them being formed by kinematic links of multi-hear hydraulic pump (9) while the other one being formed by kinematic links of multi-gear hydraulic motor (10). The input shaft of hydraulic motor (9) represents a keyless wheel of the first planetary row. The hydraulic motor output shaft represents a central sun gear of the second planetary row (8). Housing (12) is fitted in bearings of variator casing (20) and makes a pinion frame for both differential stages, whereon freewheel clutch (11) is fitted. The dynamic hydraulic linkage circuit of the hydro mechanical differential converter incorporates an automatic bypass and control valves.

EFFECT: higher efficiency, increased conversion ratio, expanded automatic control range, improved engine performances, constant tractive power on driving wheels.
