FIELD: physics, tests.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to test equipment, particularly, to reduction gear test-stands intended for engine production and to engine test-stands comprising toothed reduction gears and loading devices, and aims at increasing test reliability, optimisation and simplification. The proposed engine test- stand incorporates three-shaft reduction gear allowing engagement of the engines, alternately, to each shaft, and a common loading device in permanent engagement with one of the shafts. The proposed test-stand has the first intermediate shaft with half-coupling on its output end in mesh with a high RPM shaft gear wheel. The said high-RPM shaft has a muff on its output end on the side of engines. There is also the second intermediate shaft, aligned with the former, furnished with half-coupling on its output end and a gear wheel in mesh with low RPM shaft gear wheel. The low RPM shaft output end incorporates a muff arranged on the engines' side. There is also a loading shaft, aligned with the aforesaid shafts and furnished with half-couplings that allow engagement with half-couplings of the first and second intermediate shafts and the muffs on the output end. The aforesaid arrangement allows engagement, alternately and via muffs, of the engine power shafts with output ends of high-, low-RPM or loading shafts. Note that the proposed toothed reduction gear can have two housings, while the loading shaft can be made up of two parts jointed by a muff.
EFFECT: increasing test reliability, optimisation and simplification by using test-stand three-shaft reduction gear allowing engagement of the engines, alternately, to each shaft, and a common loading device in permanent engagement with one of the shafts.
