SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to electrical engineering and relates to specific features of the design of electric motors of electric fans, as well as the method of assembling them. The electric motor (1) has housing (2), consisting of a cup-shaped part (5) and cover (6), and slide ring (7), inserted between them. The slide ring (7) has holding apparatus (8), such that it remains attached to one of the components: either to cover (6), or to cup-shaped part (5). The method of assembling involves the following stages: fitting slide ring (7) into the mounting seat (10) on cover (6) or in cup-shaped part (5). Slide ring (7) has retainer rings (11); fitting each retainer ring (11) on corresponding pin (15), located on cover (6) or in cup-shaped part (5), so that the slide ring (7) remains positioned in the mounting seat (10), attached to one of the components: either cover (6), or cup-shaped part (5).
EFFECT: simplification of the design and assembling process, as well as cost effectiveness of the housing and the electric motor as a whole, with good water and moisture resistance properties at the same time.
