SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to mining minerals from heavy pitching small sized ore bodies using a hoisting method. The technical outcome is achieved by that, the method of preparing the bottom of a block, involves establishing levels, excavation of the undercutting layer, filling it with dry backfill and laying a shielding mat. The shielding mat is laid at the bottom of the undercutting layer after exaction. Dry backfill is put onto the mat in the volume of the undercutting layer through a raiser, linked to the mine roadway. From the haulage working, yield goes into the undercutting layer, through which dry backfill is loaded into the bell pit from the undercutting layer.

EFFECT: reduced loss of useful minerals.
