METHOD, CONTAINER AND SYSTEM FOR PIPE SURFACE TREATMENT Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC F16L58/02 

FIELD: machine building; pipelines.

SUBSTANCE: invention deals with construction of pipeline services, in particular - with application of protective coatings onto the interior and exterior surfaces of long-length pipes. A pipe or package of pipes is connected to the container manifold plug, the assembly of pipe(s) and manifold plug is placed inside the container shell, the manifold is pressure-tight adjusted to the container shell, processing media are alternately pumped though the container in accordance with the established pipes technological treatment procedure, the pipes to have been treated are disconnected from the manifold. The container used for pipes treatment is equipped with a manifold having an inlet and an outlet nipples. The container shell has a blind butt-end. The manifold connective embossments and sealant fittings and the pipe guide elements numerically match the pipes treated. The pipe surface treatment system comprises an installation and a control unit. The installation consists of containers (1-3 in number), pumps, recuperators and receivers numerically matching the processing media, flowing water and air heaters with solenoid-operated valves installed at the input and output of each heater. The containers are serially connected and equipped with bypass lines with solenoid-operated valves.

EFFECT: extension of the available range of technical solutions related to pipe surface degreasing, etching, priming and painting.
