FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine, particularly intensive therapy, and can be applied in treatment of burns requiring infusion therapy. It involves defining of burn surface area, physiological requirements of organism and pathological loss during one day, burn severity index. Then infusion therapy volume is calculated by the formula: V=I×BSA+PR+PL, where V is infusion therapy volume in ml, I is burn severity index, 0.5 for light burn shock; 1.0 for severe burn shock; 1.5 for extremely severe burn shock, BSA is burn surface area, in cm2, PR is physiological requirements of organism during one day, in ml, PL is pathological loss during one day, in ml. If patient replenishes physiological requirement and pathological loss independently, volume is defined by the formula: V=I×BSA.

EFFECT: selection of adequate infusion therapy volume for patients with burns at any burn disease stage with account of age groups.
