FIELD: water treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for purifying municipal and/or food industry effluents from organic impurities. The equipment comprises a main tank I and a preceding tank II separated by a wall 12, facilities for untreated effluents supply, treated water and sludge removal and waste water aeration. A mixer 2 is set in the preceding tank II. A waste water recirculation unit is mounted between the main tank I and the preceding tank II; it comprises a U-shaped pipe 15 section with hoses 16a and 16b while their lower ends are connected by the pipe passing through the wall 12. Upper ends of the hoses 16a and 16b are placed at the height of the minimal water level. An air line serving as an air lift is connected to the hose 16b. An overflow outlet providing for recirculation is made in the upper wall 12 part at the maximum water level of the preceding tank.
EFFECT: invention allows for flexible adaptation to hydraulic load alteration, provides for reliable and effective removal of nitrogen and phosphorus in periodical mode under low volume flow conditions.
