FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device consists of a diode-capacitor unit with output terminals for connecting storage battery and input terminals for connecting voltage supply unit for storage battery charging. The diode-capacitor unit includes capacitor and two fast-acting Schottky diodes. One diode is linked between the positive input terminal and one of the capacitor plates. The other diode is connected between the above capacitor plate and positive output terminal. The device is provided with the second capacitor connected between output terminals of diode-capacitor unit. A switch can be installed between the positive output terminal and the second capacitor.

EFFECT: high-capacity storage battery protection from current steps during charging, or when load is connected; extension of battery lifetime.
