FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of optical formation of the papillary pattern image and can be used in criminalistics for identification of the person. The device contains a source of scanning radiation, an optical system forming a radiation stream, convex optically transparent basis, projective optical system and the receiver of the reflected radiation bridged to the block of processing series located and bound optically. Thus the convex basis is executed in the form of the rotation body which geometrical parametres are defined by a parity (R-r)/R=0.7-0.995 where R - radius forming rotation bodies, r - radius of midlength section of a rotation body.

EFFECT: technical result is reached due to selection of the form of a surface of the rotation body, providing guaranteed full volume of the image at its high quality.
