FIELD: mining, geology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to underground development of mineral deposits, particularly of coal beds. Method of forecast consists in assessment of gas contents in a deposit and in a mine working, of type and characteristics of adjacent beds, and of presence and dimensions of outburst hazardous sections; the method also consists in automated monitoring for gas contamination in mine workings. Also there are traced presence and changes of concentration of gas, dissolved in water flowing into a mine working from adjacent structures. The method of location of gas traps includes evaluation of type and properties of adjacent rock, and of presence and dimensions of outburst hazardous sections. Notably location of gas traps is performed by means of system analysis of rock dissolved and suspended in water flowing into the mine working from adjacent structures.
EFFECT: expanded arsenal of means facilitating safe operations in mine workings.
